I was given a small little assignment at youth group Sunday class a few Sundays ago, about Heroes, and what/who you considered a hero as a kid and in the present time. As well as what type of person and their done deeds make them heroes.
One question had a list of diff. people and what they did and I was to check the one I saw to be more of a hero to me. I chose a Music Legend, although if there had been different options that may not have been my choice I do put a famous musicisian or a famous tv/movie star to be a hero.
It was asked of me why I chose that as a hero.
Also there is a fine line defining the difference between a just a celeb and an actual hero. And I know this.
Some people say their heroes are people like Lil Wayne, or a Kardashian or Edward Cullen [ew and if you consider him a hero you are an idiot, he is a drunk, doesnt care or seem to respect others, and just is a loser] But why are they hereos? What have they really done? Thats what I thought.
I chose a music or movie legend or star as my hero because even as a kid I always sang and wanted to be famous for it, and always wanted to be an actress and I still do. I live those things. I want to be famous and have tons of money and have people screaming my name. But I also want to use that ability and gift to make impacts on the lives of fans, and use some of that money to help those who need it.
Not just say " Im famous and rich and that means I can do whatever the hell I want!" No! I wont do that!
Music/Tv stars are heroes sometimes. The ones who use their gift to benefit others, use their money and their perks and advantages of fame to help others in ways normal people cant are hereos, because they are using that for a better purpose not just for their own selfish benefits.
Someone I feel who really appreciates her gift, and doesnt use it to say " Im famous Ill do whatever the bloody fuck I want" is Lady Gaga. Its true, shes always working you never hear her doing something wreckless or scanadlous , only about her hard work . If you dont like it...SUCK IT
